GAIAC has successfully organized eight youth exchanges in Portugal, having prepared more than thirty groups of Portuguese young people who participated in exchanges implemented by other European organizations. Within the Drums For Peace network, we have developed a model of artistic workshops, which act as a catalyst for "other forms of learning".

Sol & Arte is also based on cooperation within the Drums For Peace network, which since 2000 has been using participatory arts to empower young people.

About 10 youth exchanges, European Voluntary Service, projects, training for leaders and youth leaders, meetings and seminars are held each year.

This project integrates and contributes to this work, with a special concern for the inclusion of young people with less possibilities and the building of friendly relations between individuals, organizations and regions throughout Europe.
