GAIAC is part of the European Drums for Peace network that encompasses organizations from various European countries.
The Drums for Peace network believes that the transformative and expressive power of art is a way of promoting diversity and creating a better world, with the active participation of young people, social animators and artists. It uses the performing arts, as an instrument for the inclusion of young people in a disadvantaged or socially vulnerable situation. It also seeks to develop and improve, in social educators and educators, pedagogical skills that promote issues such as combating racism and xenophobia, improving young people's self-esteem, conflict resolution, democratic commitment and active citizenship in each of the stages of project development.
By carrying out youth exchanges, training courses and meetings of the network itself, the objectives of the Drums for Peace network are primarily aimed at expressing the capacity and potential of each individual, for intercultural dialogue, for experimenting various artistic forms and the dissemination of good practices in the work of social workers and youth educators and lifelong education.
Among the various projects promoted by the Drums for Peace network are youth exchanges for participants under the age of 30. It usually lasts a week, during which participants from different countries hold different workshops, which result in a show open to the public.
